About Classes

I teach Usui Reiki Ryôhô classes in the
classical Japanese system of three levels:
Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden. 

Each level is taught as a one-, two- or three-day certification workshop. The International House of Reiki course book is included in the tuition.

Tuition

Shoden—Reiki Level 1, 16-hour certification class, $100
Okuden—Reiki Level 2, 8-hour certification class, $100
Shinpiden—Reiki Level 3, Teacher* Level, 24-hour certification class, $300

*Equivalent to Master Teacher level in western branches of Reiki. The International House of Reiki recognizes that mastery is an on-going process of personal commitment and practice. As a student of IHR, I have adopted their standard. Students who complete my Shinpiden course are qualified to call themselves Reiki Masters if that feels appropriate.

Reiki 1 - Shoden

During the class, you will:

• study the history and origins of the Reiki system

• be initiated into the classical Usui Reiki Ryôhô system

• learn the precepts of the Reiki system

• learn tenohira (palm healing) techniques

• practice tenohira on fellow students

• learn practices which will help improve your sensitivity to and awareness of Reiki energy

• learn self-healing techniques

• develop a daily self-treatment practice

• learn the first three Reiki symbols

• be initiated into the Okuden level of the Usui Reiki Ryôhô system

• learn jumon chanting

• learn distant healing techniques
