The Loveland CURRE is a training and practice center that offers the system of Reiki based in the teachings of the founder, Usui Mikao sensei.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a system of working with the body's subtle energy to promote balance and well-being on all levels, physical, mental and spiritual. Reiki is often offered as a relaxing, balancing energy treatment. As a treatment, an initiated practitioner uses a gentle, non-invasive hands-on technique that allows the recipient to participate in their own well-being through deep relaxation.
For the initiated practitioner, Reiki is also a practice of meditation, self-healing and spiritual growth. The word "reiki" is often used as the name of the subtle energy we work with, the Source energy from which all form arises.
What is Usui Reiki Ryôhô?
Usui Reiki Ryôhô is the original name of the system of practice taught by the founder of the system, a Japanese man named Usui Mikao sensei (or as we may say in the west, Mikao Usui). Sensei presented Reiki as a path of spiritual growth, a path toward enlightenment - or, at the very least, a path of deep personal growth. The system includes a series of energetic transmissions (reiju), training in energetic meditations and self-healing techniques, and training in giving treatments to others.
